Assistant Accountant (London)

Our Client is a global organisation operating in the cybersecurity space with offices in North America, Australia, Spain and the UK. Position:

Working in a small team and reporting to the Financial Controller, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the day to day workings of the Accounts Payable with month end nominal ledger reconciliations. Ideally you will have worked in an finance assistant capacity for at least 2 years, assisting in all areas of transactional finance.

Responsibilities:

• Purchase ledger – checking, processing and paying invoices and employee expenses

• Looking after Purchase Order process

• Bank reconciliations in a timely fashion for multiple bank accounts

• Working with Finance Manager to collate and review month-end accruals and prepayments

• Produce intercompany reconciliations for multiple entities

• Produce balance sheet reconciliations for multiple entities

• Running VAT reports, VAT allocations & reconciliations

• Assist with monthly Payroll process

• Ad hoc projects

Requirements:

• Self-starter, able to work under own initiative and with incomplete information

• Proven experience within a similar capacity with exposure to multiple currencies, preferably in a technology business

• Studying for a professional qualification ACCA/CIMA or minimum AAT Level 4

• Intermediate knowledge of Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to learn and adapt to change quickly, and work in a fast-paced, challenging environment

Desirable skills:

• Experience in dealing with multiple currencies on a day-to day basis

• Experience with Xero and/or CRM systems is desirable
